2. Place a 3 foot wide horizontal sheet of chart paper on board for a line plot of favorite candy cane flavors: peppermint, spearment, cherry, cinnamon. Kids place their name on a sticky note and place it on the chart to be used for the bar graph center activity.

Begin discussing 2 digit by two digit multiplication
2. TLW discuss circumference, diameter, radius of circles by creating a giant snowman with 3 circles and chart paper. 3 groups. Group 1: radius = 6 inches for head. This group will also create eyes and nose and mouth. eyes are 1 inch radius, nose is 1 is 2 inch carrot length. Mouth is up to them. Group 1 will also create a hat which is a rectangle that is 6 inches wide and 8 inches tall. They will also create a brim that is 8 x 2 inches. ( green group) Group 2: radius = 9 inches for middle body. Group 3: radius = 12 inches for body.(red group) TLW place a center point on paper and tie yarn to the pencil that is measured to the radius listed. They will then tape the yarn to the center of the paper, tie the yarn to the pencil, stretch the yarn out and draw the circle. On the inside of the circle they are to list the radius length, diameter length, and the circumference of their circle. All groups put the snowman together for the outside wall.

1. EDC ITuesday)Test2. Place a 3 foot wide horizontal sheet of chart paper on board for a line plot of favorite candy cane flavors: peppermint, spearment, cherry, cinnamon. Kids place their name on a sticky note and place it on the chart to be used for the bar graph center activity.

Day 6

1. EDCBegin discussing 2 digit by two digit multiplication

2. TLW discuss circumference, diameter, radius of circles by creating a giant snowman with 3 circles and chart paper. 3 groups. Group 1: radius = 6 inches for head. This group will also create eyes and nose and mouth. eyes are 1 inch radius, nose is 1 is 2 inch carrot length. Mouth is up to them. Group 1 will also create a hat which is a rectangle that is 6 inches wide and 8 inches tall. They will also create a brim that is 8 x 2 inches. ( green group) Group 2: radius = 9 inches for middle body. Group 3: radius = 12 inches for body.(red group) TLW place a center point on paper and tie yarn to the pencil that is measured to the radius listed. They will then tape the yarn to the center of the paper, tie the yarn to the pencil, stretch the yarn out and draw the circle. On the inside of the circle they are to list the radius length, diameter length, and the circumference of their circle. All groups put the snowman together for the outside wall.
